Acura Performance EV Concept Teased Ahead of Monterey Car Week - TechEBlog

Nov 02, 2024

We probably won’t see a next-generation NSX at Monterey Car Week, but the Acura Performance EV Concept will definitely turn some heads. The production model is based on an all-new Honda-developed EV Platform, and it will be produced at the Honda EV Hub in Ohio.

Aesthetically, this concept showcases the performance brand’s vision for its all-electric vehicles of the future, including a vented hood that stretches forward from the A-pillars and prominent side vents carved into its deeply sculpted side surfaces. Its front fascia was inspired by the high-tech form and function of hydrofoil superyachts, while the wide wheel arches cover large 23″ wheels wrapped in wide 295/35R23 performance tires. Want to see it in person? Stop by the The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering (Aug 16) and Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance (Aug 18).

The Acura Performance EV Concept kicks off the exciting next step in our electrification strategy, showcasing the styling direction of our next all-new, all-electric Acura model that will debut next year. Building on the just-launched all-electric 2024 Acura ZDX, our next all-electric Acura SUV will continue our focus on delivering Acura clients an exhilarating driving experience in the electrified future,” said Mike Langel, assistant vice president, Acura National Sales.
