Meet the Toyota Fortuner that wants to be a Lamborghini Urus in Pakistan

The Lamborghini Urus has achieved remarkable sales success as the fastest-selling model ever released by the renowned Italian performance brand. As the first SUV introduced by Lamborghini in modern times, it has captivated the hearts of numerous individuals who aspire to have one parked in their own garages. Today, we bring you the story of an ardent automobile enthusiast from Pakistan who, despite owning a Toyota Fortuner, found himself yearning for something more. Determined to fulfill his automotive dreams, he took his vehicle to a modification shop, where he transformed it into a striking resemblance of the powerful bulls from Sant’ Agata Bolognese.

The images of the Toyota Fortuner converted into a Lamborghini Urus have been posted by Sailkoti Racers. This vehicle hails from Sialkot, Pakistan, and exhibits a striking departure from the typical Toyota Fortuner design. The front end has undergone significant modifications. Although it may not resemble an exact replica of the Lamborghini Urus, it undoubtedly exudes a distinct and captivating aura.

The vehicle still bears the Fortuner emblem on the hood. The headlamps appear to be the stock Legender variant from Toyota in India. These headlamps feature all-LED lights with vertical lamp design. Both the front grille and bumper have been completely redesigned, presenting a striking departure from the original stock version. The aftermarket bumper and grille undoubtedly exude a more aggressive aesthetic compared to the stock variant.

The front bumper showcases the distinctive Y-shaped design elements on its sides, accompanied by a central split dam. Additionally, the Fortuner features a bottom diffuser and a hexagonal component in the middle, serving as a housing for the Lamborghini Urus’ radar system utilized for ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and other assistance systems. Apart from these modifications to the front end, the vehicle's body remains largely unchanged.

The Toyota Fortuner is offered with two distinct powertrain options, each available with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions. The first powertrain is equipped with a 2.7-liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, capable of producing 166 PS of power and 245 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the second powertrain features a 2.8-liter four-cylinder diesel engine, delivering 204 PS of power and 420 Nm of torque (500 Nm in automatic variants).

Both engine options come with rear-wheel drive as the standard configuration. However, the diesel-powered version also offers an optional four-wheel-drive variant. It's worth noting that the Legender variant is exclusively available in automatic transmission variants only.

The Lamborghini Urus represents a significant milestone in the illustrious history of the Italian sports car brand. While not Lamborghini's first foray into the SUV segment (that distinction belongs to the short-lived LM002), the Urus has successfully established itself as a unique offering while upholding the legacy of Lamborghini as a purveyor of pure sports cars. With its elevated stance and four-door layout typical of a family SUV, the Urus effortlessly embodies the unmistakable design language and performance prowess synonymous with the Lamborghini name.

Under the hood, the Lamborghini Urus boasts exceptional power, propelled by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine. This formidable powerplant generates an impressive maximum output of 650 PS and a peak torque of 850 Nm. Equipped with an advanced all-wheel-drive (AWD) system and an 8-speed automatic transmission, the Urus accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.6 seconds and boasts a restricted top speed of 305 km/h.

As the brand's first modern-day SUV, the Lamborghini Urus has garnered immense popularity worldwide. In India, it has achieved unprecedented success, becoming the fastest-selling Lamborghini model to date with over 100 units delivered in the country.
