ThissuggeststhatthiscouldbeTriumph'srumouredStreet400.WhetherornotthisnameiswhatTriumphstickswithisstillunknown,thoughtheoddsdoseemtobeinitsfavour.

TheroadsterisoneoftwomotorcyclesthattheBritishmarquehasbeendevelopingwithBajaj.Thesecondmotorcycle,ascramblerhasbeenspottedquiteafewtimesandthereisachancethatitmakeitsdebutalongsideitsroadstertwin.

Theroadsterdebutingonthe5thofJulywillbethemorestreet-focusedofthetwobikesfromtheTriumph-Bajajpartnership.Thebikewillrideon17-inchalloywheelsshodwithroadgoingtyres.

Thescrambler,asseeninmultiplespyshots,willhavesomeoff-roadingcapabilitiesandridesonastaggeredsetupwith19/17-inchwheelsthatcomedrapedindual-purposerubber.

However,bothbikeswillfeatureaUSDforkatthefrontandapreloadadjustablemonoshockattherear.Brakingdutiesareexpectedtobecarriedoutbydiscsonbothendsthatwillbeaidedbydual-channelABS.

Alsosharedbyboththenewbikeswillbethepowerplant.Thenewbikeswillbepoweredbyabrandnewliquid-cooledsingle-cylinderenginethatisexpectedtodisplacecloseto400cc.

PowerandtorquefiguresarenotknownrightnowandwillbedisclosedbythetimethebikelaunchesinIndia.Theengineisexpectedtobepairedwitha6-speedgearboxthatisexpectedtoincludeaslipperclutchsetup.

ThepartnershipbetweenTriumphandBajajtomakewhatwillbethemostaffordablemotorcyclesfromtheBritishfirminIndia.Thefirstfruitofthispartnershiplookssettobeaneo-retroroadsterthatwilllaunchonthe5thofJulyasTriumphandBajajlooktomakeinroadsintoamarketdominatedbyRoyalEnfield.
